Dr Mathew currently has public appointments at the Royal Children’s Hospital, the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Royal Women’s Hospital. Dr Uday Bhatt is a general ophthalmologist with a special interest in anterior segment disorders. He specialises in premium cataract surgery, laser refractive surgery and the treatment of various corneal conditions, including keratoconus and the latest techniques in corneal transplantation and grafting, such as DSEK (endothelial graft) and lamellar surgery DALK (lamellar graft). In addition to his specialty areas, Dr Bhatt also performs eyelid surgery and treats a wide variety of ophthalmic conditions, including glaucoma. Dr Bhatt completed his ophthalmic training in the UK under a number of renowned clinical and research figures in the field of ophthalmology and has maintained his keen interest in research since moving to Australia. Dr Devinder Chauhan is a retinal and macular ophthalmologist with over 20 years of experience. Dr Lewis Levitz is an accomplished cataract and lid surgeon. He is a sought-after speaker and has given multiple presentations at the Australian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr Levitz is a reviewer for American Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Asia-Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology and the Australian journal Clinical & Experimental Ophthalmology. He was a guest lecturer at the inaugural LenSx users’ meeting and has spoken at each subsequent meeting. His virtual textbook on laser cataract surgery, one of the first textbooks regarding this topic, has been online for seven years. Dr Levitz completed his fellowship in oculoplastics in the UK.

Dr Christolyn Raj completed her medical degree with honours from Sydney University prior to embarking on her ophthalmology training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. Dr Raj is a respected member of RANZCO and RANZCO’s Young Fellows group and an International Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She continues her research work in the area of diabetes as an affiliate of the Diabetic Retinopathy Laboratory at The Diabetes Institute and has recently co-authored a chapter in the Textbook of Vascular Medicine. Dr Raj is a RANZCO examiner for ophthalmology trainees and a senior lecturer at the University of Melbourne medical school. Her interest in education extends to the optometric realm, where she is involved both as an educator and examiner for the ACO ocular therapeutics course.
